Fire Extinguisher Mounting in a C3

I'm trying to determine where and how to mount a fire extinguisher in my 1972 coupe. Where do most folks mount/store the extinguisher in a C3?

    Thanks,

    Glen

Here is my choice. Despite appearances there is no interference with your legs.

Paul, very interesting! Is that a custom fabricated mounting bracket that uses the seat mounting hardware to secure to the floor? If so, I'd LOVE to see more detailed photos of it and manufacturer's info too.

I mounted my extinguisher to the rear bulkhead, using COURSE Velcro that I bought at my FLAPS. I stuck the "hook" half of the Velcro onto the extinguisher's clamp bracket and then stuck the hooks into the carpet. It does a good job of keeping the extinguisher in place, however, if I ever had to use it, I'd waste time digging into the back, getting at the thing than your option. Your option also doesn't require any alteration (holes) to the vehicle, which is a MUST for me. Do you think your mount would also fit on the passenger side? I have far less use of the passenger side, so any ergonomic interference would be reduced.

        Don,
It goes on driver's or passenger side. The extinguisher is Amerex Halotron. The pic shows it in my former 1967. The Wife did not like it there??
