    1990 Parts Availabiltiy

I know where to go to find parts for a C3 but now I am on the path for parts for my 90 ZR1. In particular I am looking for an original lug nut key socket and tire air pressure guage.

Can someone direct me in the right direction.

The wheel lug nut lock KEY ("socket") had GM part numbers. However, they were not available through GM. They had to be obtained from Amcor Wheel Locks, aka Hi-Vol Products. A card was supplied with new Corvettes that included the code for the particular key required for the vehicle. An extra/spare/replacement key could then be ordered from the aforementioned. The phone number I have for them is (313) 458-8920. I don't know if it's still good as my information is 20 years old. If they're still around, perhaps they could still supply a key.

The exact tire pressure gauge supplied in the owner's kit was not available from GM. However, complete owner's kits which included the gauge could once be ordered from Helm, Inc. I doubt that they've been available in a long while, though.

Erv, hope this helps. I got this from information of a 1990 ZR1 that never made it thru the dealer prep.

        All information helpful.

How do I get my hands on an original tire pressure guage?

I'd say look for someone selling an original owner's kit that's complete. It does not have to be from a ZR-1 as I believe all were the same. However, I do not know what year models included the same tire pressure gauge as 1990. Here's what one looks like from a 1992 [not for sale]:

Try White Racing Products (www.whiteracingproducts.com). They have a lot of ZR-1 related parts

And just for the record, the ZR1 on their home page is actually my car. I've always wanted to tell someone that!

Not for some of these hard to find parts. Might look up Jim Clemmens in Florida. He always has some of this stuff.

Theres plenty of options, you just need to do some Googling. Try Jerry's Gaskets, White Racing Products, as well as The regular car parts companies, such as Zip or Eckler's. There are also a number of good used parts places, plus places that specialize in rebuilding ECM's and digital dashes. There are no shortage of parts, even for he ZR-1
