    E15

Interesting on E15 gas. Makes one wonder on what will E10 do also?

    Re: E15

Back when I was working, we did some studies and pretty much determined that 10% alcohol was all that could be tolerated in engines fuel systems (pre 1993) as over that content the alcohol deteriorated the rubber components in the system. the OEM upgraded the rubber for cars as the years went on, but that does nothing to retrofit older models, so I'd be VERY leary of anything over 10% for anything pre C-4 for sure...

Just saw a 4,000 mile '96 that the rubber fuel line from the pump to the pickup had totally disintegrated. E-10 does older rubber no favors. Liquid corn made to drink, not put in your cars

Given the 20-30 years of experience much of the US and Canada has in using E10, not much.

That's a frighteningly inaccurate and misleading video.

That video is pure B.S. at its best. Neither of those two bimbos know what they're talking about.

About the only thing demonstrated in the video is that although gasoline and ethanol mix, fuel and politics don't.

You're not going to see very much availability of E15 so, for the vast majority of folks, there not even going to be able to make the mistake of using it. I just can't see service station owners going for the new infrastructure cost of adding this fuel for the extremely limited market. I find it hard to understand why even a few have done it.

Also, the issue of "phase separation" mentioned in the news segment is absurd.
