    1956 Balancer and Pulley

I am wondering if you can get the correct rivets to rivet the pulley onto the balancer and what type of rivet is it. Is there special tools to do this. Are both the pulley and the balancer painted the engine color or are they black. If this cannot be done at a home shop where can the balancer be sent to get it riveted?
    Thanks in advance

    Re: 1956 Balancer and Pulley

balancer/pulley painted engine color. this balancer was common to pass car v-8's and can be found in old junk yards, flea markets, carlisle etc. if you are certain you want to use what you have, look in Hemmings Motor News. there are guys advertizing in "services" that will rebuild your balancer with new rubber guts and probably rivet the pulley on for you.mike
