    Flex Shaft Allen Wrench

    Guys,
Does anyone know where to find the old flex shaft allen for adjusting the points. I have been all over the internet and not finding anything other than the one in the link attached. That one is pretty tired.
I had one long ago, but haven't seen it in years.

    Thank you,
    George

Hi, I saw that too, it's to big to fit between the FI unit and the Distributor. The one I have lost was similar to the one in the link I posted. So simple so easy, to find back in the day.

You are right, but heck the ball doesn't drop for 30 more minutes.

        Thank you,
        George

            Gene, Mike,
Thanks to both of you for responding. I searched the Snap-On web site and couldn't find anything, but there is a guy who lives in the area, with the big Snap on truck. Maybe it's time to stop by and get introduced.

Happy New Year to you both.

Rimac Tools. I purchased the one pictured many years ago but they apparently still make them. See link below.

When one considers that the last vehicle with a distributor that could use this tool was built 38 years ago, it's kind of amazing they still make the tool.

Some folks, I know that would not include you Joe, might be surprised at the number of tool collectors there are. Enough to continue production of this tool? Maybe if added to the number of old car hobbyists.

I have the KD tool and have used it on fuel infested cars.

                    Guys,
Thanks for the help, I have choices now.

                    Dick,
Fuel infested, or fuel infected is how I am feeling now.

If I was to get everything out ta boxes and display what I have collected over the years it would scare me to death. Need tools for 53 or 71 series Detroit? What about J, H, NH, or triple nickel series Cummins??? Flathead Fords? Sun distributor tester or 1120 engine diagnosis tool. SnapOn brick? I refuse to go to tool collector shows. It is worse than the old car disease.

They are also available through Amazon.com. Look up Great Neck Distributor Point Adjusting Tool. They are currently in stock for $6.50.

Heck, I just use a 1/8" hex bit stuck inside of a short legnth of 1/8" I.D. "aquarium" plastic tube. Someday I
ll buy a real "tool" if I see one and I remember that I "need" it.

Now they are popping up everywhere. Guess I need to improve my search skills.
