    Where did this come from?

I was installing new speakers in the kick panels when this fell from underneath the dash on the passenger side. It appears to be a condenser for suppression of electrical noise - it's an RPO U69 car. If I had to guess, I would say that the copper tabs are to be inserted into the connections for the directional signal flasher which is held in place underneath the dash on the passenger side. However, I see no reference to this condenser in any of the wiring diagrams I have.

Floyd you nailed the location exactly. I think it will be found in the AIM U69 section, but even if it isn't it belongs on the turn signal flasher.

Edit add: It is on my 1970, and it was on most of the flashers when Pete Lindahl and I were looking at flasher date codes. All C2's and C3's I would guess. We never saw enough non-radio cars to be sure, but we have found a lot of the brake switch capacitors on non-radio cars, so a capacitor on the turn signal flasher wouldn't surprise me on a non-radio car. It was easier for them to put them on all cars than to keep track of the few without

I believe it is as you believe. I don't know if it was used on your car but my 63 had one.

          Floyd -

You won't find the capacitor on any wiring diagrams, but it's always shown in an illustration in the U69 (radio) section in the Assembly Manual.

Okay. Now that I know exactly what I'm looking for, I see it on page 436, U69-A3
