Hi,
I'm back to the NCRS after a 18 year hiatus. I just bought a 63 convertible which had the chassis mostly restored by the previous owner. The frame is excellent, no rust, no pitting, etc. Its been sandblasted/painted, new bushings, bearing, rear arms, steering box, etc. I want to make the finishing touches and correct anything to make the chassis Top Flight worthy. I have the Nolan Adams book which talks about varying black chassis paint, but not much more detail. I'd like to know what gets painted what:
Steering linkage
suspension components
control arms
backing plate
brake drums
springs
bolts/washers
steering box
sway bar
front uppper control arm bar
shocks
parking brake cable and brackets
Is there a judging manual which will show what gets judged and what the criteria is?
Can I get my frame judged at my house for a fee before placing the body back on? ie. house call judging, Bergen Cty, NJ.
Thanks in advance,
Ken
