C1 (1960) Radiator Drain Hose - Where can I get one?

The TIM and JG describes the rubber hose that attaches to the petcock as having three ribs. I found these listed in Dr. Rebuild's catalog but he has a minimum $20 order size. Has anyone found something acceptable at a auto parts store?

    Thanks,

    Don

Paragon and CC sell ribbed radiator drain hoses, but I don't know how many ribs.

Used to be we could go to NAPA and buy a nice roll of ribbed hose made by Trico. No more though.

Yes, I tried NAPA, no luck.

Joe, I call Paragon and they do not carry the thin walled hose. I don't see that CC sells the hose separately. They do have a part number for the hose and petcock together, which I ordered. But there is some kind of backorder on that. I have not gotten a delivery date yet.

I actually found the petcocks on Amazon and ordered a couple. So now I'm just looking for the hose.

        Thanks,

I have an old piece of hose with 3 ribs, but it may not be thin walled. It is 1/4" OD and 0.08" ID. The hose walls are as thick as the hole is wide.

Doc requires $20 minimum order making it a very expensive piece of hose.

And Dr. Rebuild minimum shipping cost is $14.95. I've been trying to see if there is anything else I need from him. Anyone else need the hose? I would be happy to order a number of them and get reimbursed if you need one.

Don, what size ID are you looking for, and what length? I found a ribbed piece of hose in my junk drawer that is 7/16 outside diameter and 3/16 inside diameter. The walls are a little over 1/16.

Thanks John, but it a 1/2" ID. Hardware store 1/2" thick wall hose fits. I going to order a couple from Dr. Rebuild. Here's a picture of the petcock I got off Amazon. It not exactly like original but close.
