C1 Speedo Driven Gear Holder

Not sure what it's called, but its the bullet nosed part that holds the driven gear. I have two of them, one long and one short. The short one came out of a 61/62 T10 and the long one came out of a 63 B/W T10.

What's the difference? I see that Corvette Central lists two different driven gears and the ones listed for 55-60 look to be the longer than the ones listed for 61-81.

So did these parts change from 60 to 61? I assume either will work for my 1960 as long as I have the correct length driven gear. I bought a new repro one from Paragon and it is short.

Donald, I may be wrong, but I believe the long bullet was used in the aluminum Powerglide trannys.
