    '61 window problem

The passenger window on my '61 is very hard to roll up when all the way down. The problem as I see it is that as I start to turn the regulator, the back of the window starts to move first, thus binding the front of the window against the front slider to the point where it is nearly impossible to roll up. If I lift up on the front of the window, thus tilting it backwards, then it will roll up fairly easily. This is so bad that it has stripped the splines in 3 window crank handles, and also partially stripped the splines on the regulator itself to the point where I'm going to order some new regulators. But, what is the problem with the window? I have greased everything I can find except the regulator itself, but that doesn't help. Is there an adjustment that I need to make, or is something worn really badly? Not sure what to do.
    thanks
    Ken

Ken, Sometimes the window regulator arms get bent from forcing the window, This will throw everything off on the alignement. make sure once you have the regulator out check the channels and the condition of the fuzzies that the window slides up and down on.

Ken, the window may be binding in the fuzzies in the door post holding the front window from keeping up with the back .

I've been thinking about that. Would new fuzzies in the vertical channels help?

I don't know if that is your problem just check when you wind it up and see how tight it is at the bottom . On mine it seems tighter than it should be all the way
up . Look and see if the channel is tighter at the bottom than the top . The repro fuzzies are not the same as the originals . Also with your problem with window cranks , the Chinese made cranks are junk , mine stripped out like yours . I bought a pair of NOS cranks and installed them and it solved the problem , tho the window is still hard to roll up the crank stays on .
