1969 jack date code 9 A, black or silver gray color?

My 69 was built January 25, 1969, my jack, large A stamped on top, is date coded 9 A. Is this a good date for my car.

If so, what are the correct paint colors? The jack is black and the handle is a silver gray color, with the rubber handle cushion also painted the silver gray color. Both items are grungy, so not sure if this is original paint or someone repainted them years ago.

    Thanks,

    Doug

Doug that jack date is 9 A = January 1969. That seems reasonable to me for a late January 1969. My January 29th 1970 has a date of 9 M = December 1969.

Mine are all black -- jack and handle, but the rubber handle cushion is unpainted.

I have never seen an original C2, C3, or C4 jack painted anything other than black. Never.
