My 64 Coupe firewall was damaged in the location of where the clutch rod passes through the firewall. It was repaired when the car was in for body and paint however the hole itself was not re-drilled. The area was just filled and painted and probably just overlooked. I didn't notice it until I went to install the clutch fork. I noticed in the aim on page D-18 it calls for a clutch pedal plate with rivets. I have no such plate and the aim does not give a hole location or dimension measurement for re-drilling. Is this plate available and was it used on a Jan. 64 built car. I find no mention of one in either a Paragon or corvette central catalog as a re-pop. As always any help would be greatly appreciated. Gary

That riveted-on plate (Item #5, P/N 3825188, on sheet A12.00 in UPC 1 Bolt/Weld) was used on all manual transmission cars - it contains the holes for the self-tapping screws that attach the clutch rod boot. It's also shown in UPC 7, sheet C2.00, item #9. As far as I know, it isn't reproduced, but it would be easy to fabricate - it's just a square piece of sheet metal.- Top
