1957 Heater Delete Dummy knobs

Does any one have pictures of a original Dummy knob, bezel ,nut and washers.Noland Adams show the knob with a square nut . Is a square nut correct.The AIM part numbers for nut and on of the washers is not used anywhere else on the car .The other washer is a common flat washer.

That would explain Why the part number for the nut never shows up again any were on the car

Dan,

Believe Cameo trucks used the same square nut on some of their knobs.

Thought I had one to measure for you, but couldn't immediately locate it.

Regular ole square nut, like used in the 1940's. Most of the originals I've had or seen were rusty. Several showed some type of black finish on them.

I used to have a couple originals and the nuts were square. Like Gary said mine also had a black finish and it was not rust or tarnish. (I wish I still had them. I will NEVER sell anything again.)
