Vacum routing for factory AC 1964 coupe

I wonder about the routing of the vacumm lines on my 1964 coupe

Heather shut off valve goes to

the heather vacum switch(on top of the AC inner heather box)

Where does the absolute vacuum compensator(that sits on the STV valve)go to?

Where do the lines from the vacum line tee go?

I suppose some of the vacum might go to the intake manifold or power brake which i have on my car

All of this was ripped off my car when i bought it so this is new for me

Is there any vacum that i have left out?

Can any here help me with a diagram for the routing of the vacum lines to each of the components?

Claus, I have an early 1964 327/300 Air conditioned (C60) convertible. So I could attempt to answer some of your questions, but I would first suggest that you get an assembly manual for your 1964 Corvette. In this manual there are approximately 39 pages of information, diagrams & drawings on the 1964 C60 AC system. There are several pages just dealing with the vacuum hose routing. Some of the hose routing is different if you have a manual transmission or a Powerglide transmission. If some of the color stripes are still on the vacuum hoses this could also be helpful. The assembly manual for your Corvette is available on this website, member price $19.00. Maybe someone with better descriptive skills will chime in.

Yes this is correct. Carb. to the T One leg goes to the bottom of the STV the other goes to the vacuum switch on top of the interior heater box behind the glove box. The return from the vacuum switch goes to the hot water shutoff valve.

The hose from the carb goes to the large port the small port side goes to the shutoff valve. The hose to the shutoff valve has the white stripe.

The hose that comes from the hot water shut off valve marked with a red 1 on the digram goes where?

the AIM has the details on that.

Tank you for the diagram Harry
I found it in the assembly manual.
Vacum lines are colored blue and water hoses are colored red

If you look at the 2 pictures i suppose that this is correct routing for the hot water hoses on a 1964 AC Corvette?
The hot water shut off valve(marked with a red number 1)the hose from the heather shut of valve to the intake manifold close to the oil fill tube i suppose

                        Hi Roger:

the diagram on the left is correct for the coolant (hot water) hoses. Follow that exactly and you will be fine.

The right diagram is your refrigerant hose routing, except for the small coolant hose connecting the tank to the radiator fitting. The refrigerant lines are a combination of rubber hoses and aluminum tubes (pipes) with barbed fittings for hose connections.

Yes the coolant hose coming from the intake manifold goes to the shutoff valve.CorvetteOctNov2008016.jpg
