Don't know if it started here now at B-J or some other auction, but the new seller's spin on NOM cars is to the effect of "...was 327/365HP but now UPGRADED to a '69 350 for smoother. more powerful response.".

Re: Explanation for NOM
Now that's funny.....Sad..but still funny...I do like what some folks do with NOM cars...Turn them into Retro-Mods by installing a GEN III LS engine...That really is an upgrade....or more of an update, it's not really my cup of tea...but the cars look nice and I'm sure run well and fast.

Re: Explanation for NOM
No doubt about it. Those retso-mods bring big money and I think they are super nice and would be a blast to drive... I was just saying that when a seller calls a NOM Corvette an "upgrade", I've got to call BS. Resto-mods are a whole differant ball game. I don't think BJ (or any other seller) would decribe a Resto-mod as merely an "upgrade".- Top

Re: Explanation for NOM
When I go with the Mrs. to the supermarket I go to the magazine aisle and read Hot Rod, Super Chevy almost all the latest hot rods are done with the LS engines.
In the future who will want an old big block engine except a restorer ?- Top
