    BJ event this year

I really didn't notice any NCRS stuff being involved in BJ this year, guess it was more unobtrusive than year's past? Also, it appeared the Corvettes did well for value this year, unlike my other passion, Mustangs/Shelbys, which did very poorly.

You think upwards of 200,00 is poorly for Shelby Mustangs?

BJ-Ford Very poor showing of Corvettes. Seems like most were ran at commercials. If thet ever get over patting themselves on the back and telling us how great the show is I might watch it again.

If they were all above $200K, no, but many very rare ones, like a yellow and an orange GT500 'verts with Drag Pack equipment (both one of 12 or so) went for way under that. Most '68s were in the $100K-$150K range, very low compared to previous years.

I'm still pretty much a beginner at vintage corvettes, but I did see what I though was interesting if not unusual. There was a 58 vette, big brake but not a fulie, that Terry Michaelis bought for $86k which I though was most all of the money for what the car appeared to be. He also bought a C1, I think it was a 59 but don't remember for sure, for $110.

I'm was thinking at the time that there isn't much money to be made on either of these if he intends to sell them through ProTeam.

Look for them to appear soon on his site, and they will be marked up for a big profit, and sooner or later he will sell them for that profit.

I liked the red '68 Convertible 350/300 that had the windshield lettering stating it was "Blumington" Certified!

There were cars at BJ when ever I tuned in there were doing "social media" stuff. I thought the "original " Corvettes were all over the place in value there was a pretty nice 64 that did not go for big dollars.

Next time go to the BJ website and watch it on the confuser. No color commentary, choice of three cameras, and no commercials. Print out the catalog and you will know everything you need or not need to know. Speed TV has ruined the auction broadcast with all their drivel. Mike Joy has more sense that all the rest of the commentators combined.

Jerry I said the SAME THING. It seemed like every time a Vette came up on the block, it went to commercial or went to the staging lanes...I was irate. Speed is showing ALL the love to the Shelby's and Fords...No love for the Vettes. I love watching it, but even my fiancee said "another Shelby" about 300 times....

Amen, brother. If I never see Steve Davis again it will be too soon.

I don't understand why they think that I care to watch a bidder deciding if he wants to increase his bid on a car. I wish they woud give the cars as much camera time as they do on the bidders and auction helpers.

and not alot of C1's or C2's -
There seemed to be alot of Shelby car and Eleanor cars
Didnt seem to be the same amount of "recreations"

They do show the cars sometimes, like when the shill bidders are hammering the price up for the likes of Craig or his buddies. If you watched Craig's "Green Hornet", it shot from a stalled $300K to $1.8 million in 30 seconds, and the camera was focused only on the car, no bidders shown, wonder why?
