I am looking to add a lift to make room for a c1 project. in order to make room I need to stack a c2 (65 coupe) and a c5 (02 roadster). the hitch is that I have beam in the garage to work "around" before I go out and spend a ton of money on a four post lift, I want to make sure it will all fit. to do so I need a profile view, autocad drawing of a c2 and a c5, anyone know where I can locate these?

Re: acad drawing, c2 c5
Ron,
AutoCAD wasn't created until after the computer age began, so for a C2 you'll be out of luck. But there are the line drawings in the AIM which might be helpful. For a C5, you'll just have to use a tape measure.
I have AutoCAD on my home PC and use it for any home construction projects.
If this beam is a ceiling joist, you may want to consider consulting with a building engineer to see if the area could be raised like a pocket ceiling for clearance. Don't forget the garage door when open clearance.

Re: acad drawing, c2 c5
Ron,
Please see attached files. You will need to scale them correctly once they are in AutoCad. I have used AutoCad for years professionally as an architect. He should check out Sketchup.com from Google. Its free software and there so many 3D models created already. You just might find the lift manufacturer has modeled it already. Sketchup is so easy to use. My 5 year can create with it.

Re: acad drawing, c2 c5
Mike, Ron,
Fantastic, I didn't know an Autocad drawing of a C2 profile existed.
I downloaded it, and scaled it to the 67 Aim OPC 0-F2 (52" total height to ground for a coupe)
Scale factor applied to Mike's post to inches as units is .4127 (Some architects like to work in inches). Scale factor to feet and decimal (or feet and inches) is .03439. (civil engineers like to to work in feet)
The attachment has two scaled files on it, the first one is in feet, the second is in inches. So Ron, depending upon the units in your base drawing, you could import either one. Please don't employ someone on an Autocad metric system.
Have been in Autocad since 1987 with Release 9, presently using Autocad 2013 as a Civil Engineer.Attached FilesJerry Fuccillo
