Brenton,I think you'll find you will need to remove the dash. it will be a lot easier. there just is not enough room. the gages come out in pairs.New England chapter member, 63 Convert. 327/340- Chapter/Regional/national Top Flight, 72 coupe- chapter and regional Top Flight.- Top

Re: 65 Temp Gauge
If you are sure that it is the gauge, I would take the time to pull the cluster. I believe you'll be happier in the end and be able to take care of anything else that needs attention "while your in there" kind of thing.Rob

Re: 65 Temp Gauge
Brenton if you have small hands shouldn't be a problem getting it out. I took mine out by placing longer bolts
in were the dash screws were. Took out the oil line then pulled cluster out enough to get tack and speedo cable off. Also trip cable
Then it was no issue. Agreed at this point you may as well take cluster out and replace all bulbs. Don't forget to take driver seat and steering wheal column out as well. Makes job go much faster also make sure power battery cable is taken off.
When I did take mine out I noticed I didn't have a capacitor on the brown wire for the radio. I purchased everything from Long Island Corvette very happy . Putting cluster back in next week. Good luck.
