    Partially decked engine pad

In our never ending obsessions with judging engine pads, a discussion arose on the corvette forum as to how an engine pad that that was partially decked during a rebuild would be judged. If the engine suffix and VIN derivative is complete, and original broach marks can be observed on half the pad, but a noticeable lip is observed where the decking had been performed, how would this engine pad be judged?

Sorry, no pictures as I pose this as a hypothetical, but a member on the corvette forum posed this as a real concern.

Peter, if a judge deems the numbers and dates look good ,The broach marks are judged seperatly. so a partical or full deduct is possible on just that area..
