396 emblems

I have a question about "correct" 65 396 nose and fender emblems . I have my old worn originals ,and I have a new "GM" set bought in the 80s with the red being way to dark and glossy . I bought a nose emblem from Long Island marked show quality with correct red paint . the color is very close to correct but the chrome on the flags is so polished and good it has lost all of its sharp edges on the flag and the sticks . It is a very nice piece but not quite correct . I was looking a the Trim Parts catalog and they show emblems with the correct orange red . at a much higher price than Long Island . My question is does anybody know if the Trim Parts are correct in color and chrome details ?

Bill, cannot speak for these emblems, but my experience with Trim Parts has been nothing but excellent. I sold many sets of their emblems and had not complaints
