    Correction to my earlier post (#12), the only Melling pump with the anti-cavitation grooves is the 10778C, not the 10770, according to Melling's website. Sorry for the confusion.

      Steve,

      You might think about using the ZL-1 pump. It was still available from GM last I heard. See post 10 of this thread:
