    Attn: Joe Lucia--94 LT1 Oil Filter--PF25

Joe: Like for you to make a comment on this filter. Did not want to continue older thread so started a new one.
    Here's my story:

Bought brand new 94 Camaro Z28 1LE LT1 and the original black oil filter was a PF25 pictured below. Question: Did any of the 94
Corvettes with the LT1 have this filter? Have you seen this black filter P/N#6438261 before? BTW still have the car and it has a total of
175 Miles on it! Thanks in advance--Larry

No 1992-96 Corvette LT1 or LT4 ever used a PF-25 oil filter. The last Corvette that ever used the PF-25 was the 1991 L98. 1992-96 Corvettes with LT1 or LT4 originally used the PF-51 oil filter and, later, the PF-52. The reason for this was that GM considered the clearance between the Corvette left side catalytic converter and the oil filter to be insufficient. So, a special adapter was designed which allowed the use of the smaller OD PF-51 or PF-52.

1993+ LT1 Camaros did not use the Corvette-style dual catalytic converters so they continued to use the PF-25 filter, a PRODUCTION-line version of which you pictured.
