Hi;
On my 1978 Pace Car Replica some prior owner attempted to alter the filler neck on the tank I guess to permit it to accept a full size filler nozzle. I know that the whole sending/filler unit can be removed through the body opening.. The filler neck does have three rubber hoses connected to it; one supply, one return and one for tank vapors. On this car these hoses are original and hence very stiff and dried out.
Question is: If I go to remove the sending/filler neck I will probably need to replace the three rubber hoses.. Can this be done with the tank in place or do I need to drop the tank? Has anyone done this?
Thanks,
Joel
