I've been comparing my car to VetteVues pics (and I know what they say isn't gospel). The notes on owners packet motivated me to post this. I got a lot of stuff they don't discuss and I'd be interested if the original owner was just a collector or if I have some neat stuff.
This car came with tons of original stuff - owners packet(no pin), congrats letter from GM, etc, etc. So here's my owners packet for comment:
1. Plastic envelope - pretty good shape
2. Owners guide - standard
3. 1964 Owner Protection Plan booklet - definitely original
4. Fuel Injection Engines (Starting Instructions) purple print wet copy - definitely original
5. KO wheel card - I think I bought this and put it in there, KOs were dealer installed and the date is 5 months late
6. Installation Instructions for Metallic Facing Brake Shoes - I think I copied this from Vette Vues and put it there
7. Card - Instructions for Care & Use of Seat Belts - dated 9-17-63 Part Number 3855739 - looks old/original
8. Folded Brochure - 24, The Facts of the matter - 4 folded panels printed both sides discussing the 24 month warranty
9. Folded Brochure - concerning your new 1964 Chevrolet - 3 panels printed both sides discussing car, owner's guide, warranty, dealer, Protection Plan booklet, Guardian Maintenance. Has pics of Chevy owners guides on back including the cover of the 64 Corvette guide and image of the Protection Plan booklet
10. Folded brochure - 1964 Chevrolet Colors - 3 panels printed both sides, has 16 color "chips" glued inside shaped like bowtie and discusses corvette colors, but only satin silver chip is for corvette.
11. Luggage Hold Down Strap Instruction Sheet P/N 3846957 date 5-2-63, certainly appears original. Car had straps dealer installed and I have them complete(in good shape) along with the slit in the rear carpet and well nuts in the bulkhead.
12. No radio instructions - this is a non-radio car
It's Sunday afternoon and I have some time to kill and I would be interested in any comment on this stuff.
