    1966 A/T questions

I have moved on to the A/T connections for my 1966 base engine coup with A/C and have two questions (for now).
    1. I can't seem to find in the AIM how the speedometer cable is connected. I can see where it goes from transmission to speedometer on the manual T but not with the Automatic T.
    2. I purchased new cooler lines for the A/T several months ago and installed them to the A/T. There is a cap on one of the lines which I thought was there to keep the dirt out and I left it in place - went to connect to the small A/T "radiator" on the front today and as it turns out the "cap" is not plastic but metal (I have attached a picture). Does anyone know what this is. Want to check before I cut it off.
    Thanks
    Joe

if you are talking about the line on the left, it is indeed a plastic cap...

Good, I will just cut it off. Just did not want to destroy it if it was something important.
thanks for the help. BTW - it is very hard and I can't move it with my hand or a small screwdriver. Will try to cut it apart with a knife.

        Joe -

The Powerglide and 3-speed manual use exactly the same speedo cable routing and clipping - see your A.I.M., UPC 12, sheet C3.
