Corvette America sells what they call dye in aerosol cans. I think it is technically some type of paint. They advertise it is good for vinyl, plastic, fiberglass and metal. I restored my console from my 66 dark blue interior using their dark blue dye and it has held up well for over a year. They have bright blue also.

I agree with that - I used their "dye" on my saddle '67 console with excellent results. But be sure to use a self etching primer or it won't hold up very well. I use Duplicolor's Self Etching Primer on mine.
