    1968 Door Panel Question

Installing new door panels in my '68. Al Knoch...Nice fit, fairly easy install with the usual "Tweaking"

One problem. When I install the window crank spacer on the panel, I can't get the crank to attach to the shaft. On the original panel, the "Hub" of the mechanism sticks out as well from behind the panel. With the new ones, it does not. Just the shaft....The panel is tight against the door, all "Velcro" tabs work fine, and are a nice tight fit.

    Any suggestions, appreciated

    Thanks,

    Bob,
From my experience the curvature of the repo door panel is slightly less than the original in the area of the crank shaft.
A bit of massage to the contour inward will help.
