68 Wiper Blade Frames

I believe the frames that hold the rubber inserts are semi-flat back, correct?

Jack,
Wiper arms and blade holders may be either flat black oxide or flat black paint.

According to my research the 1st design 1968 wiper blades (GM # 3913614) have a dull gray finish and the 2nd design 1968 wiper blades (GM # 3938167) have a black finish.

My 1968 Chevrolet Parts Catalog (Oct. 1967) lists # 3913614 for the 1968 PASS. & Corvette described as "(Trico)(15 7/8" long)".

My 1969 Chevrolet Parts Catalog (Oct. 1968) lists # 3913614 for the 1968-1969 PASS. and 1968 Corvette (1st Design) and # 3938167 for the 1968-1969 Corvette (2nd Design) described as "(Trico)(15 7/8" long)(black)".

Jack my original owner 1968 built in FEB and bought in MAR has the original wipers. They have not been painted and are from what I can tell are flat black.
