Great photos. It's all good ,but while I didn't look at all, didn't see any drag racing Corvette photos. There were some famous ones that were stock-no travesty of cutting wheel wells, etc. An Orban Thornton from Jackson MS. ran Corvettes of several years vintage inn NHRA drags. In '67 he won B/S(was B STOCK or B SPORT) at NHRA Nationals in INDY. Believe it was with a '57 fuelie-I saw that car once. He also ran a mid year convertible with hardtop.-turned 12.57 with one of his cars, all small blocks, as I recall. Anybody got pics of any of his cars?

The '57 fuelie was red with a hard top.Think he had "Doodlebug" painted on its side Not sure about color of the mid year he campaigned but it was a hardtop also. Do you remember it or have photos.? He raced mainly down South-MS., LA., but as I said, he did win class at Nationals, '66 or'67.A Paul Vanderly from MS. Coast campaigned a '60 and maybe a little later midyear. Have old slides of this car pulling front wheels off ground at an NHRA meet in late 70's or early 80"s. Sounded like a chain saw! He still builds respected race engines.
