Pat, at Kissimmee Regional this year, the following recommendations were made by the Interior Judge to the National Judging Chairman Tom Barr.

    1.

    2. DeleteEmergency Key- A Courtesy Key was mailed to the owner after purchase.
    3. DeleteGM Protection Plan agreement. Dealer provided.

I will answer a couple of questions that you presented concerning items you did not get with your Corvette.

      1. Concerning the tire pressure gage- How many slots did you have in your Owner's Pouch- 2 (Penlight and Pen) 3? If you had two, there is a probability you were not suppose to get one.

      2. No Emergency Key-- Their was no emergency key in the 94-96 Corvette (At least these years) in the owner's pouch. After the owner took possession of the Corvette, Chevrolet sent the owner a Packet shaped like a key that contained one/two (not sure) Courtesy Keys with the VIN number on it. They also included two Roadside Assistance Cards, not as the Judging Manual calls for the outdated Roadside Assistance Brochure.
Pat, my pouch only has 2 slots/holders, so perhaps I wasn't supposed to get the pressure gauge. But, I didn't get the penlight either. My pouch only came with a pen, with the second slot empty.

Also, I realize the emergency keys didn't come in the pouch, I just brought it up as another thing I didn't get with my car. I simply was not mailed the packet with keys and cards.

My pouch also did not come with the Goodyear warranty pamphlet or the CFC pamphlet.

        Interesting, thanks Pat.

By the way, my car did come with 2 FOBS.

Pat, you should have not gotten the CFC Brochure, they were discontinued in either late 1994 or 1995.

Can not give an answer for the Goodyear warranty pamphlet.

Here is a photo of the penlight.

Gotcha on the pamphlets, good to know.

My car definately did not come with that penlight, or any other. The pen I did get, however, looks identical to the one in your picture.

It was in a slot in the owner's pouch on the left hand side.

It did not have the word Corvette on it, but if Corvette was put by decal it might have come off.

Interesting point on this gage is that it was made in Taiwan, as seen on the clip of the gage.

I have provided some photos and Joe if you would be so kind to compare it with your gage, I would appreciate your time.

Again, thanks to everyone who took the time to respond to my intial inquiry.

              Pat------

My gauge is significantly different than the one you picture here. Also, the word "Corvette" on mine is silk-screened onto the barrel of the gauge. It is not a decal as seen in the chrome-barreled gauge posted earlier

                Re: RPO UJ6 -- Tire Pressure Gage/Gauge.

Joe, thanks for the response. I think that the prior owner of the 1992 Owner's Pouch that I received today put an aftermarket tire pressure gage in it at some time.

I thought that I couldn't be that lucky to come up one for my archives that easy.

                Thanks again

Being the pack rat of strange items that I am. Here's a shot that should put a new twist on the gage. I just dug one up that came from an early built 94 convertible. It is a Schrader unit with Corvette decal. It has the original baggie !!! Check it out. I don't really remember them being in a bag, but obviously, they were. At least some were.

                        Re: RPO UJ6 -- Tire Pressure Gage/Gauge.

Pat my 1996 LT4 bought 6/6/1996 from Kerbeck Corvette in NJ off the showroom floor did not come with a tire pressure gauge in the zippered pouch that contained the owners manual. It did have a pen flashlight (just checked it and it still illuminates with a bright light) and an ink pen. The pen type flashlight is in a holder above the owners manual and the ink pen is in a holder in the middle of the pouch.
On the left side of the opened pouch in a plastic holder is the credit size roadside assistance card with my 96's VIN on the bottom of the card. A pad of writing paper with the 96's Corvette hood emblem in the top left corner. A piece of paper stating Part #10258656, CORVETTE DOM, PORTFOLIO in three lines.
There was and still in mine a PASSIVE KEYLESS ENTY SYSTEM label that could be peeled off and the information on how to use could be placed in a convenient location. Center console door and sun visor next to vanity mirror are mentioned.

I do not remember if the door key that could be carried in a wallet was sent to me or was in the pouch.

Vicki, a very attractive blond woman that was a member of Kerbeck's sales personnel came to the airport and picked me up when I bought my new 1996 LT4. While at the dealership waiting for my 96 to be moved out of the showroom floor she gave me a Corvette tire pressure gauge as a gift. I do remember her telling me that my 96 did not come with a Corvette tire pressure gauge like earlier C4's and she wanted me to have one.

The gauge she gave me is chromed metal on the top of the gauge with the rest of the gauge black with gray CORVETTE lettering. Only thing I can find written on it is on the clip and it says MADE IN USA.

In my owners manual I placed a post card that was sent to my home from Garden City, NY. It states REMINDER Vehicle Owner Please call at your convenience concerning your vehicle. Monday thru Friday 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM E.S.T. Toll Free 1-800-411-9277 Please have this card and your Manufacturers Warranty Booklet in hand when calling.

Also in the zippered pouch is the Goodyear Tire limited warranty brochure and the Genuine Chevrolet Warranty and and Owner Assistance Information booklet. My 96 does not have the LTPWS. I was given two key fobs.

In my 96's glove box between the seats there is a place that was designed in the plastic to retain a pencil type tire gauge.

Jim, thanks for your response to this thread.

I really appreciate the time and effort you put into your response, it helps greatly when we get an original owner to respond.

Is there anyway you can provide a photo of the Gauge?

I noted that you stated you got two Key FOBS at the dealership( I too bought a 96 from Kerbeck). The owners manual called for one Key Fob to be with the Corvette from the factory.

Thanks again for your time and effort.

I can send you picture of my air pressure gauge via e-mail taken with a I-PAD. One of my two key fobs is still in the original holder that has the programming instructions and has not been used. I do remember watching the new Corvette salesman at Kerbecks, John O. Vespertino programming this key fob.
