Date Code on 69 Tri-Power Carbs?

I came across these carbs a couple weeks back and was not sure how to interpret the date codes. These are on a 69 427 435hp Manual so the part numbers jive but shouldn't the date code be a 3 digit, year/month/week code?
The center carb is 3940929 has a date code of 0595. Two front & rear carbs are 3902353 and have a date code of 1387.
    Thanks,
    Pat

I alway thought the date is comprised of only 3 characters.

Thanks Dick. As service replacements, do you know why there are four digits to the date code vs. 3 digit date code? Curious as how to read these numbers.

Patrick I am not sure when they went to four digit date codes, sometime after the cars I am interested in (thru 1972) were built. I did hear a vicious rumor that they built cars after July 1972, but am not sure about that.

4-digit Holley dating started in 1973.
