I've searched the archives with no luck, hopefully you all can help me out once more.
The outer front grills on a '68 are mounted via 3 metal brackets. One outer lower bracket, one outer upper bracket and one inner 2 prong bracket. I know the outer lower bracket was riveted to the body near the lower valance.
Now my question. How were the other grill brackets mounted to the body? Were they all riveted like the outer lower one or did one or both of the others attach via being bolted somehow to the headlight support or something like that. I've also checked the AIM and it shows the brackets but not how they're mounted to the body.
Also can anyone tell me how the 2 center grill brackets are mounted to the body? Same question. Riveted or bolted to some other part of the bumper assembly or something. Thanks for any replies and pictures would be great too.
