    If you have the round dial battery disconnect it could be a bad connection in the disconnect. Common problem that seems to act like a bad battery.

      It could be the battery cable. I've seen the junction of the cable wire and the lead terminal get loose and not work.

        Check the actual condition of the terminals, not just that they are connected. As JH says, those were a special configuration to carry the full power of the car in a small package size, and over 50+ years they lose that capability. Design life was 10 years or 100K miles whichever came first! Which of these are over the expiration date on your car? Twinlock Terminals was the trademarked name as the same termimal was used on both sides of the connection, rather than using a true male blade female terminal design.

          Hi Guys, Problem solved! After taking a second look at the connections going through the firewall I found a connector that had pulled away from the plug.

          Let me say "Thanks!" to everyone for their input and help in getting my 65 back on the road!
