Just arrived in Bowling Green, Ohio from Cincinnati and there are no Corvettes, Museum or Plant. Where did I do wrong the GPS said I am here some Pilot from AA or was US Air gave me directions. I wonder if he was pulling my chain.

Paul, you must have missed the Memo, there is BIG mud wrestling event in town tonight. You should head over, Its by invitation only, NCRS judges only. Marks got the front row and he saved a seat for you.

Paul, there are a couple of Corvettes here at the Host Hotel, Holiday Inn University Plaza, six miles down the road from the Corvette Museum.

I remember that event well, including the guy that pulled out a box of unbrellas, only $20 each.

I have been to a meet -- not NCRS -- where there was a drive-through tent for the judging. While the driving lane got muddy, and the wheel wells full of grass and mud. Other than the chassis judges we (the judges) were pretty well protected. Maneuvering the cars took a lot of organization, and there were long stretches when some of us judges sat around with little to do. It also made for a very long day.

If I remember right (dangerous thought), some of the cars at the Stone Mountain Regional downpour were moved to be under an overhang of the Motel and on cement. See you in Bowling Green - rain or shine! Don H.

I'm headed there now. Spending the night in Mt. Vernon. I feel bad for the PV guys tomorrow. Good luck to Gene Leonard and the rest of the guys going for PV!

You are correct, Donald. My old judging manual bore the results of that day at Stone Mountain when I replaced it. We have had to use the same procedure at several fall chapter meets. The hotel management is usually very gracious in letting us use half the front portico so long as we don't block both lanes and inconvenience their guests. Terry is right that is makes for a long day.

                    Patrick -

I remember that meet at the Thomas Edison Inn in Port Huron - it also didn't help that it was 35 degrees along with the howling wind and pouring rain
                    .

                      That would be the meet.
I wouldn't mind going back there but I'd be afraid of the weather.

Guys, We judged at the Port Huron event. Had our 1966 judged at the BG hail storm. We got 4 cracks in the paint and one dent in the stainless trim on the back widow. The judges deducted 3 points for damage at all the successive events. This was more than fair in our opinion. The crowning glory was our Duntov award at the 2007 Boston National. Since then we have gone forward to acheive a Founders Award.
