    72 Corvette Carpet

Hello all. I have been reading through some of the pld posts on here about carpet installations. As far as I can tell, it seems that only the vertical surfaces required carpet adhesive. Am I correct? All other surfaces that layed relatively flat were not glued? Just trying not to make this process any harder than it need to be. If someone could give more detailed information, it would be a tremendous help.

    Thanks
    Scott

    Re: 72 Corvette Carpet

When I did my '71, essentially what you said is what I saw when I replaced the carpet. There was old glue on the vertical surfaces on each side, some glue on the tranny tunnel, glue up high on the vertical piece behind the seats, glue on the far aft vertical section and glue on the wheel wells. I don't recall seeing any glue on the floor pans, nor on the flat portion behind the seats except for the storage compartment doors. I just applied glue to the areas that appeared previously to have glue.
