That caulk is available at any auto parts store like NAPA. If you are talking about the windshield sealant I'd use sealant that is applied out of a tube. I don't recall a brand..

Make sure it is a non-hardening butyl rubber compound like the 3M 8509 bedding compound or the CRL 777.

This is the product I was mentioning . Paid 12 dollars. Looks the same and seems to have the same product specs as 3M . Just got my gasket andclips from Paragon.

If clips are imported, return for the better ones available from Paragon. It's easy to see the difference in metal thickness. Also, look for a little foam ring around the screw hole. Your trim will fit better.

Picture shows NOS clips, some of which do not have the ring mentioned above.

Tom : As mentioned Just got my gasket and clips from Paragon . Did the originals have foam or was butal put under them. I also placed thread sealer on the screw threads. All the old ones were rusted .
                Thanks

Original installation - I don't know. Most of the old NOS service parts (from the 70s) HAD a soft, possibly butal, ring around the screw, but it was not foam. Now, in 2013, the stuff is stiff as can be. Cracks or falls right off the the clips because it's so hard - I would not use NOS clips without some replacement sealer around the screw. (There is a vendor offering NOS for $7 each.)

I have a rather wordy article about the clips. See the WNY NCRS website for this.

I don't think you want to use strip caulk for the windshield, you want the bedding compound that comes in a caulking tube so it flows everywhere. Refer to the chassis manual, it shows how to do it. I just did mine and nowhere was strip caulk used.

Scott I will check on the bedding compound . The bedding compound looks like it was used under the stainless trim. The Strip calk was under the rubber gasket against the frame when I took it apart. I will reference the chassis manual . Scott just to confirm you placed Bedding compound under the rubber gasket around the frame , thanks

That is correct, lay down a small 3/8" bead of caulking type bedding and glazing compound as shown in the chassis manual. You do not want anything under the lower stainless trim other than lots of soap or will never compress the gasket enough to engage the clips. There is some strip caulk used under the side trim, maybe some at the top

Just an update winshield put back in over the weekend . Went well all trim back on.
This was the product I used. I also placed white mono calking between the window side frame and the stainles.
