    1968 copo

I am looking at a '68 COPO car. It has numbers in the COPO F&SO upper right hand box on the tank sticker. Anywhere else I should look to verify? Thanks.

Well, it is advertised that way, has the numbers on the tank sticker, and has a color combo, British Green exterior and Tobacco interior, that is not supposed to be together without the COPO process.

You did not need a COPO to get a color trim override. Unless it changed from mid years

No COPO required to get non-recommened colour combos.

That is one thing I was wondering about, if the trim tag would should COPO on a C3 like it does on C2s. The next place I need to look, thanks.

OK, thanks all, just wondering about how C3 COPOs are marked to check. If the color combo is the only deviation from standard, and you don't need COPO for that, then having the numbers on the tank sticker in the COPO F&SO box without anything else showing COPO means nothing I guess, right?

Michael, Why not do a Document Validation to confirm tank sticker?

Right, that would be one way to go, thanks.

My 1969 that ordered new was a COPO because of the Color/Trim combo Yellow/Saddle

OK, so as I understand it, if it wasn't RPO, then it had to be COPO? So an odd color combo not on the order sheet RPO would by definition be COPO?

I would say it is because of the Tobacco (tan) interior. In 1969, that color (saddle) was a listed option but, in 1968 it was, at some point, available but not listed. It may have been made available for salesman to order at some point in 68.
