    TC-W3 as gas additive

Has anyone heard or have any information on using TC-W3 2 stroke oil as a gas additive?

Yes, I have some info based an excruciatingly long battle I read on another car forum I spend far too much time on.

    Two proven benefits:

    1) similar to mixing mayonnaise with axle grease, it won't hurt the taste of the grease at all

    2) it will do an excellent job of keep bad things from happening that wouldn't have happened anyway.

I've got a suspicion that there's somebody somewhere that's killing themselves laughing at how easy it to create a 'need' for a product and offer a 'proven track record' of how well it works. All the chatter I've seen revolves around mixing 2 stoke oil at a ratio of 500:1 with gasoline. I don't think it would matter much what liquid is mixed at this ratio- it will make little or no difference one way or the other.

Not directly, but that was the main source they quoted as 'proof' we all need to run out and buy this stuff to make sure that the sky doesn't fall. P. T. Barnum was right.

Amazingly not this time. The manufacturer makes no mention of using it in a four stroke engine at all, 2 stroke outboards only.

The story line the guy on the LS1 forum came up with sounds like something straight out of SW PA's best conspiracy theorists..
