Hello; The underbody tunnel insulation is missing on my 65'. Can a new one be re-installed without removing driveline parts ?

Re: C2 Transmission tunnel insulation
Dave,
Remove the shifter and linkage. With a little massaging you should be able to install a new insulation. Make sure you straighten out the tabs first. Care should be taken to get the insulation in position before it gets pushed over the tabs. Original installations also used contact adhesive. Most likely you will see traces on your tunnel.
Hope this helps.

Re: C2 Transmission tunnel insulation
Marco, I am getting ready to install the Transmission Insulation in my '64, 4-speed. I expected to have to lower the transmission to get the insulation in position before pushing up into the tabs. There is room without lowering the transmission? If you use contact cement, can you get it over the trans without messing up the cement? This post was very timely as my new insulation is sitting in my car as I am going over to a friend to use his lift. Thanks- Top
