    Alum "T" for PCV

The top blew off my original T fitting. I didn't see them in catalogs, are these still avail or even needed when a plain T will work?
    Thank you

Gary, is that a factory fitting? I thought most of the T-fitting were plastic. some of your local auto parts store may still carry the plastic fittings.

      Ed
I bought the car in 1978 and it was on it then.

I've never seen an original tee like this one. I think the one you need is a GM #3970076 but I'm not 100% sure. It's discontinued, anyway.

          Hey Joe,
I "thought" I've seen them in the past on vettes but have to admit I just didn't pay much attention. Could it have been something a dealer or garage installed between 1972-78? anyone's guess. I will look for a plastic fitting in my parts bins or local. I don't get much time to take the car out, it sits months on end most of the time so there is no get rush.
          Thanks

That's exactly what I think its origins likely are. From what I can see of it, it looks like it's way "overdone" for a tee. It might be one of these "magical" aftermarket retrofits that's supposed to have all sorts of benefits.

Joe I think you're right, I used to 72 mpg around town and 179mpg on the highway. I may have trouble finding another one.

I haven't gotten that kind of mileage since I sold my car with that Fish carburetor on it....

What, your Tesla doesn't get that kind of mileage?

                    Well
I had a chance to go to NAPA and get a T to replace this part. Still not sure where it came from.
