What is the correct color for speedometer and tach cables in 1964?

Forgot to mention that the car is a late car, built July 10, 1964.

64 vin 21820, a 375 hp roadster, has its original cables, the speedometer being beige, and the tack drive cable being gray. mike

Both of the ones on my car, VIN 21470, "appear" to be black, and I believe them to be original.

64 Corvette #2405 tach cable is beige,and it's the original, just like 63 cable. This could be because its a early car.

64 VIN 13901: both original were black. Speedo cable needed replacement & went with Judging Guide color, gray.
If you are replacing just follow the Guide.

1964 VIN 9258 built January 18th was delivered with a beige speedo cable cover and the tach cable cover is dark gray. Both are what the General put on the car and are still on te car.
