A friend of mine is trying to get his car date correct. He has a 67 coupe and would like to know if his 3.55 rear is correct for his build date according to the 67 NCRS JG. The date on the rear is April 2,1966 and the build date is September 15,1966. Would that fall into the 6 month window? Thank you

Re: Correct time frame
With information provided appears rear diff has been replaced. You have almost 1.5 years before his car is built. What other info (letters) are stamped on bottom of diff next to date?A friend of mine is trying to get his car date correct. Would that fall into the 6 month window? Thank you- Top

That just fits within the 6-month window, but it's definitely not "typical"; diffs didn't sit around the plant for six months - that one is most likely from a '66 car. Fortunately, diff "numbers" aren't judged in Flight Judging - they only matter in Star/Bowtie judging.- Top
