DOT 3 brake fluid requirements?

I was told by NCRS judges that DOT 3 brake fluid was required in a vechicle originally equiped with it for points judging. Is this true.

Probably had to do with the wording on the M/C cap.

only if its the original DOT 3 from GM then its got to be worth at least 1 additional point.

Please ask these knowledgeable judges how they test the fluid to see if it's DOT3 and not DOT4 or anything else.

Easy! Remove the cover and count the dots.
