    tank sheet translation

Here's my partial tank sheet stating along the "Conv. top" line the (partial) word "convert...". I have seen sheets that say here "STD Black Top". Does this mean that my top was not black from the factory and if so, what other colors, besides white, could it have come with? Would this be documented on the trim tag? Thanks! Ron

Not black; your "Conv. Top" line would either say CONVERT TOP WHITE, or CONVERT TOP BLUE (or maybe) DARK BLUE.

Soft top suffix would not show on trim tag; just the auxiliary hardtop.

What would it say on tag for the hardtop? I know mine did come with an AUX HARDTOP according to the tank sheet.

            Ronald -

The 414BP says Bright Blue vinyl interior, with a hardtop, without power windows, headrests, shoulder belts, or Powerglide.

Thanks, John. So the conclusion is that (from this partial tank sheet) there is no way to know which color the soft top was from the factory, only that it was either white or blue, not black. Thanks, everyone!

For 1967, there were 7030 cars with standard black tops, 5900 cars with white tops, and only 611 cars with the teal blue top. From the discussions above, the odds are your car originally had a white top. But this is not absolute.

I would just pick a color (white or blue) that you like and that best matches the car.
