Judge my firewall wiring and clips

Guys, I am finishing the last couple of points on my car prior to taking it to Hampton.

I have looked and looked and LOOKED at the AIM regarding the wiring on the firewall for the engine harness. Can you guys confirm that I have it right?

I have 6 T-straps total (as the judging guide says). 2 that secure the washer pump hose to the hood cable, and 4 that secure the harness to the hood cable (2 per side). I think I've got it.

Thoughts? Don't be bashful, you won't hurt my feelings. I have a fair bit of time yet to get it fixed, if I need to.

    Chris,

Picture number 3 is correct. However the tape is incorrect. The tape is harness tape not friction tape. Picture number 4 is correct on the the last strap the if you are facing the car (driver side is on the right) the next two straps should be on each side of the back up switch. The next one is tucked near the firewall where the harness comes from the interior to the engine compartment and includes and goes around the cable. The final one is above the washer pump.

So, it sounds like I have the right NUMBER, just maybe not in the exact correct locations?

It appears you have K66 transistor ignition.

In pic#1 & 2 & 4 is that taped up pink wiring(up high near hood cable) for the ballast to coil circuit for standard ignition?

The factory may have removed that Pink wire from the forward engine harness if K66 equipped. See this thread for a explanation.

        https://www.forums.ncrs.org/showthre...855#post534855

I've never found where it shows the unused Pink wire actually taped to the harness in the AIM UPC K66. There is no reference in the AIM. Maybe it was taped up on some cars, and removed entirely on others. Rich P's explanation in the above thread makes sense to me. However nothing is mentioned in the 1967 JG about the unused pink wire.

I see your shiny harness tape wrapped around the wires just in front of the wiper motor in pic #1, as shown in the AIM UPC K66 A3 (ref item 8B).

Do you also have that same tape on the forward/K66 harnesses at the radiator support location, left side? See UPC K66 A2, also item 8A. Maybe there to prevent chafing of the harnesses as they pass over the top edge of the radiator support.
