    Cause the ain't one. A front seal in a muncie is a non-oem item, and BTW, there is no smooth surface on the input shaft for the seal to run on...

      Yup, no such separate seal was used. However, there is sort of a seal mechanism built in.

      The big front bearing retaining nut has a wide tapered/rounded face. So does the inside of the front bearing retainer that's the same shape as the face of the retaining nut. This forms a seal, supposedly. I think it's more of an oil slinger than a seal though.

      If a car with this style front bearing retainer is jacked up in the rear during repairs, it's possible for transmission oil to run out between the bearing retainer nut and bearing retainer.
      After such a repair, transmission oil may drip out of the front of the clutch housing for several days after the repair is complete and the car is level again.
