    Dick-----

I think that some or all 1955 Corvette 12 volt used the metal reflector headlamps. The part number was GM #454642.

Ask Roy Barraz. You still on that other pay site that didn't kick him off?

"12V" in the middle and "Guide" at the bottom is a winner. Any other brand??? Not worthless but not super big bucks

            Dick,

Metal backed 12V lamps were used in early '55 Vette and Chevy passenger car applications. They were also used in '54 in some higher end GM cars which had already switched to 12 Volt systems.... Buick? Olds? I'm not sure which ones. Later in '55, all glass 12 Volt sealed beam headlights came into use.
