Radiator Support Washers

I have a 1967 big block and I am missing the thick washers that go between the radiator support bracket and the support bolt. I currently have the large flat metal washer but I am missing the thicker large washer that goes with the set up. Does anyone know where I can locate these large thick washers?
I was also recently told at a recent regional judging that the 4 bolts and washers that support the spare tire tub should both be black. My bolts are black but the washers are silver, and I just purchased them from Long Island prior to the judging. Every online Corvette catalog that I have checked shows a silver washer. Is this correct or incorrect and if they are suppsed to be black where can I purchase them?

Part numbers always make life easier.

Do you mean washer # 3688003 as shown in the 1967 AIM (UPC L36, sheet A5)? It is listed as 5/16" I.D. X 1 1/4" O.D. X 3/32" thick cadmium plated in my 1967 Chevrolet Parts Catalogs (Apr. 1967 & July 1967) in Gr. 8.929.

AMK Product sells a close reproduction which is a bit thinner, part # B-11265 and described as 0.34" I.D. X 1.25" O.D. X 0.06" thick silver zinc.

Yes...I believe that is the correct part number. I apologize but I am a fairly new NCRS member and I am still getting use to all the verbiage. Would you be able to tell me where I can purchase these think metal washers? Thank you very much.

Thank you. I just pulled the washer up on the AMK website. Is there a place where I can purchase the thicker version you originally mentioned that is 3/32 thick?

I talked to Richard a few days ago. He does not have the thicker washers. From a conversation I had with him, I think with enough requests he might consider reproing them.

There has been a lot of confusion about these washers over the years. You are correct, there are TWO flat/plain washers on the outboard radiator support brackets.

Adding to the confusion is the fact that, if I recall correctly, the 2nd washer, the fat one, was not shown or listed in the AIM. Only the thin washer is shown.
I think I looked for a part number for the fat one decades ago but never did come up with one??

Here are the dimensions.

The thin washer measures .093" think, or 3/32". The fat washer measures .187" thick, or 3/16".

The thin washer has an OD of 1.250", or 1 1/4". The fat washer OD is 1.375", or 1 3/8"/.

The size of the hole is .343", or 11/32" on the thin washer. The size of the hole on the fat washer is much larger at .458", or 29/64".

The fact that the hole on the fat washer is much larger than the one on the thin washer explains why the two are never quite centered when assembled.

I'm not sure of the plating on the fat washer. I Know the thin washer is plated but I seem to remember no plating on the fat washer???

we have some other large washers from other applications
closest is od 1-7/8" 3/16 thick , hole 15/64(7/16" bolt fits in hole) , zinc plated.
don't know if this will be "close enough"'
