    C6 healight condensation

How do I remove the plastic headlight cover on my 2009? The inside has a layer of condensation on it.

Common occurrence on C6's - will eventually dry out. Let it set out in the hot sun, or conversely if you are adventurous, there are rubber boots inside the fender well (should check and make sure they are in place!) that you can point a hair dryer through to dry out - takes some time.

Gm says if it drys out by noon outside on sunny day it should be considered normal .

Thanks, I will look for the boots and give the hairdryer a try.

Just in case you really, really want to open them up:

There are other threads ont he same subject there, but I think you have to register (it's free) to search.

Personally I wouldn't do it. Have you looked at the price of a replacement from GM? I bought a spare set for just-in-case, and I can tell you what they were four years ago. Take a deep breath and be seated.

I opened the boot in the wheel well to let some air circulate and parked in direct sunlight for 3 hours. To my surprise, most of the condensation is gone. It was really heavy condensation . Much easier solution than I expected. Thanks for the great and quick responses.
