457 horn, what year is this for? It has a #10 cast on it, it is stamped type S under the Delco-Remy. Thank You

What is the full part number, starts with a 1 and has seven numbers, generally on two lines.

I can not see any other numbers on the horn, only Model 457, I found a large L for low note,

The low tone "457" horn was used on 1963 Chevrolet passenger cars. GM # 9000457 and # 9000458 are listed in the 1963 Chev. AIM, Sect. 12, sheet A4.00.
There also should be a 3-digit date code stamped on the horn on a small "pad".

Enclosed is a photo of the matching high tone "458" horn dated "3D1" (1963, April, 1st week) on the circular "pad" on the left side.

Your horn can be converted into a 63 Corvette horn. I have never done the conversion but I know others that have.
